The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity provides holistic programming to help students develop in all facets of their lives.
Specific programs include:
PACE Multicultural Mentorship Program
PACE is a year-long program designed for first year students of color.
PACE is an acronym that stands for Preparation, Awareness, Community, and Engagement. The goal of the program is to prepare students for their college experience at 中国体彩网; help students have awareness of their own identity and others; build a supportive community and encourage engagement with each other and 中国体彩网.
PACE begins with an orientation program to provide students an opportunity to get involved on campus early, meet upper class leaders and mentors, gain valuable leadership skills, and meet other students with similar interests before Welcome Week orientation officially begins. Student Leaders for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (SLIDE)
SLIDE is a leadership initiative that aims to unify students who are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The program provides engaging workshops and programs aimed at increasing students’ leadership skills, understanding of social justice, and other topics that pertain to diversity and multiculturalism.
We believe that improvement in these areas enhance students’ ability to effectively engage and work with diverse populations.
Sisterhood of Unique Ladies (SOUL)
SOUL creates a supportive and inclusive community for women of color to come together to share similar experiences and discuss issues that impact them.
SOUL provides programming and opportunities to further educate and empower women to embrace who they are as women. SOUL strives to help women of color to not only live but thrive as women, students and leaders.
Multicultural Men’s Association (MMA)
MMA provides opportunities and experiences for male students of color to connect with each other, staff, and community role models. This initiative strives to build community among men of color, while developing leaders who will positively impact their communities.
