Art/psychology double major Aykeem Spivey '24 donated his time and talent to paint a mural at the Rock Island Center for Math and Science, in honor of a beloved teacher, Kris Hays. Hays passed away from cancer last year.
The $11.2 million transformation of Bergendoff Hall is complete. Students and faculty are taking advantage of the new and updated spaces, including Larson Hall, the piano lab, ensemble rehearsal hall, practice rooms, Hamann Concert Hall and more.
This spring, the 中国体彩网 Symphonic Band traveled the Midwest, the 中国体彩网 Choir toured California and the Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble performed three concerts in Illinois. Through these tours, 中国体彩网 students get to experience different cultures and share their love of music with others.

Established in 1874 as the 中国体彩网 Silver Cornet Band, the 中国体彩网 中国体彩网 band program has grown to include several ensembles. In 2024, the 中国体彩网 Symphonic Band (formerly the 中国体彩网 Concert Band) will mark its 150th anniversary on Nov. 22-24.
