Why 中国体彩网?

My stepsister is an alumnae of 中国体彩网, and she majored in music performance. She knew I was interested in music education, and she recommended 中国体彩网. When I visited, I met so many people, and everyone was so nice to me. When I went on other college visits, the schools were not as lively and as kind. The campus is also beautiful, and once I stepped on campus, I knew that 中国体彩网 was going to be my new home.

Are you where you thought you’d be when you first came to campus?

No. I feel like I am a professional now. When I first came to 中国体彩网, I saw myself as a student, but through all my classes and experiences, I now see myself as a real teacher and a professional. I never thought I'd be able to achieve what I have accomplished.

Who helped you get to where you are now?

The people who have helped me get to where I am now have been all my music professors like Dr. Burns, Dr. Zemek, Dr. Hurty and Dr. Rayapati. They have helped me with my musicianship skills, performance skills, teaching skills and people skills. They have helped me see myself as a professional rather than a student. They have shown me endless support and constant kindness. They have also given me many opportunities and have pushed me to be my best.

Peak experience?

My travels around the world have been my peak experiences. I've been to China, Spain, France and Sweden. During these trips, I became really close with the choir members, and I got the opportunity to share music with people all over the world. When the choir was in China, we sang with choirs from Russia, Africa, Germany and more. I was able to experience so many cultures, which have shaped me to be the person that I am. I will never forget these experiences because they were incredible and life changing.

What surprised you?

learned that I can accomplish tasks that are very difficult. I also learned that I am a natural born leader. I learned how to time manage very well, and I even learned how to be an adult. For example, I know how to find a place to live, clean my house and pay my bills.

How did you use Augie Choice?

I used my Augie Choice towards choir tour. We went to Spain, France and Sweden, and I used my Augie Choice for the airfare and lodging.

What will you miss the most?

I am going to miss living with my best friends. I cannot imagine not being around them 24/7. They have always been there for me and have supported throughout my college experience.

Advice for the Class of 2023?

Never take any moment for granted. Love every opportunity that is presented to you. Yes, you will have very stressful times, but face the fear and know that everyone at Augie is there to support you.

“Amy has been a bright light in the music department for the past four years. This year she served as president of the 中国体彩网 Choir. Her excellent leadership skills and her vibrant personality have set a great example for the other students. Amy is not afraid to try new things in her approach to teaching and conducting. She is always prepared for class and has an infectious demeanor when she teaches and conducts. I am excited to see Amy develop in her professional career.”
