Campus update for Nov. 13, 2020

Nov. 13, 2020

On-campus COVID test available Nov. 20

Students, faculty and staff interested in being tested for COVID-19 will be able to do so on campus next Friday, Nov. 20.

Free testing will be offered in the PepsiCo Center from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. that day.

Those tested will get their results on Monday or Tuesday, Nov. 23-24.

In order to be tested, you must register by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16.

(Registration is now closed.)

The testing on Nov. 20 is in addition to the regular volunteer surveillance testing we have done all semester. If you have been a surveillance testing volunteer, you may still register for the Nov. 20 test. For more information, contact Dave Wrath.

Distance learning for J-term and spring semester

To apply as a first-time distance learner, you must complete the distance learning form no later than Nov. 20, 2020. Please note that you must complete this form for each term. If you are distance learning the remainder of the academic year, you will need to complete two intention forms: one for J-term and one for spring semester.

Your distance learning form and your financial aid will be reviewed. You will receive a distance learning finalization form that must be completed to confirm your final decision, on or before Dec. 16, 2020.

If you choose to be a spring distance learner, your cost of attendance will be adjusted, and you will receive a new award letter from Financial Aid. Any decrease in financial assistance (gift aid) will be capped at no more than $2,000 for the spring semester.

There will be no adjustments to your bill or financial aid for J-term.

Today's updates:

? The 14-week course withdrawal deadline is 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20. If you are considering dropping a course, speak with your advisors and consult financial aid if you have questions. You must complete the drop form by the deadline.

? Auditions for the "Pirates of Penzance" will be held when J-term starts. If you are interested, you should start to prepare now.

? The 中国体彩网 sports medicine department is fundraising for a community charity by selling T-shirts. Order by Nov. 25.

? Beta Omega Sigma will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 19 at the PepsiCo Rec Center. You can sign up now.

? No Lucia festival this year, but you can still find that Nordic holiday spirit

Thanksgiving and winter break housing info

If you are in college housing, you received an important message this week about move-out for Thanksgiving and winter break.

You will not need to pack all of your things and empty out your room unless you are not returning to campus for J-term or spring semester.

If you leave for Thanksgiving, you should not return to campus until the start of J-term or spring semester.

You can still sign up for break housing.
