Campus update: Masking in classrooms

March 29, 2022

Masking policy in classrooms

Masking will continue to be required in classrooms through the end of this week. If the CDC's COVID risk assessment of Rock Island County continues to be low or medium, and we do not see a spike in campus cases, rules will change Monday.

We anticipate that starting on April 4, masking will no longer be required for 中国体彩网 community members, including in the classroom.

important covid 19 info

You always may choose to wear a mask, and community members who are in quarantine or isolation must continue to mask. Masks are optional outside the classroom now.

For the rest of spring semester, faculty may require masking in their classrooms and offices if they or a family member for whom they provide care has one or more conditions the CDC designates as high-risk for serious illness from COVID 19.

Masking also may be requested if the faculty member believes that the particular classroom activities present higher risk of COVID transmission.

All community members are encouraged to stay up-to-date on COVID vaccinations to help prevent serious illness from COVID. Vaccinations and boosters are available at the campus clinic by appointment or by walk-in.

He recently placed fourth in the weight throw at the NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships to earn All-American status, becoming the first in Augie history. He has the Vikings’ top three all-time throws, breaking his own record twice. → Read more
