Campus update: Keep it up!

Jan. 20, 2022

中国体彩网 on course!

This week's COVID dashboard showed the number of positive cases on campus declining.

Let's keep it going: Get a booster shot if you have not. Register your booster.

Make sure you have a quality mask and wear it correctly. (N95 masks still are available in the Dean of Students office in Founders Hall or Office of Student Life, Gerber Center.)

中国体彩网 Convenient Care will test campus community members who have symptoms. If you have been exposed but do not have symptoms, the clinic staff asks that you wait to come in for a test until five days after the exposure. This leads to more reliable test results.

New health app now in use

We've started using a new health app for students this week for admittance to the Gerber dining center and PepsiCo Rec Center. If you haven't yet, download the "中国体彩网 中国体彩网 Health App" by Schoolinfo in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. (This app is for students only.)

Log in with your 中国体彩网 email and password and report your health to receive a daily check mark. If you are fully vaccinated, you will only need to log in once. If you need help, contact Laura Terronez or Farrah Roberts.

NAMI looking for new members

Augie NAMI is a student-led peer support group affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The group is looking for new members and students who would like to assume a leadership role.

If you are interested, contact Farrah Roberts, director of student well-being and resiliency.

NAMI helps students feel mentally and emotionally well, serving as a first step for students to talk (or not) and learn from their peers. Meetings are a safe place to share, learn, and take a break from the stresses of life.

Temps in the 80s: The J-term group studying in the warm waters of Bonaire just cannot help rubbing it in a bit. Here are students from the geology course "Build Me An Island" after donning snorkel gear during the full moon to aid classmate Kyle Sadowski '23 in his research of nocturnal sea urchins to assess their recovery and impact on reef health.

Winter in Holden: 中国体彩网 students are living and learning (and skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, knitting, throwing pottery, doing dishes, stoking fires, laughing, and NOT missing their phones!) at Holden Village with Dr. Jason Mahn this J-term.

Playing their presentation: Madeline Kusar, right, and Jassiel Stauthammer give a presentation on Arnold Schoenberg by playing a few of his atonal pieces. Schoenberg was an Austrian-born American considered one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. The presentation was for Dr. Lisa Seidlitz's course "GRST 250 Decadence and Decay," which examines the culture, people and politics of Germany and its contributions to the modern world.
