Today's update: Booster Saturdays!
Dec. 1, 2021
Booster Saturdays start this week
Get your COVID-19 booster shot when it's convenient, on Saturdays at the 中国体彩网 Clinic, starting Dec. 4. The clinic is open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Booster Saturdays will continue Dec. 11 and resume when classes start in January.
This week the Centers for Disease Control strengthened recommendations for boosters for everyone age 18 and above, saying that the emergence of the Omicron variant further highlights the importance of vaccination. (One case of Omicron has been reported so far in the U.S., in California.)
Be careful out there.
COVID isn't over, and your commitment to the community can't be either. COVID rates in Illinois are on the rise. The 14-day average in Illinois is up by 20%, and the number of people hospitalized is up by 35%. Rock Island County is averaging 35 new cases a day, and there were six COVID deaths in the county last week alone.
Rapid testing is available.
Feeling ill? Get a rapid test Monday-Saturday at the 中国体彩网 Clinic. Test results take about 15 minutes.
Today's updates:
? The 中国体彩网 Bookstore Christmas specials run today through Friday.
? The Project of The Quad Cities will offer free HIV and hepatitis C testing from 4:45-6:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Centennial Hall parking lot.
? December PepsiCo hours and online yoga classes.
There's a lot going on this week — including the lighting of the Christmas tree today at 4:30 on the Quad. If you feel like a trip off-campus, the videos produced by Entertainment and Media Studies students will premiere tonight at Rozz Tox.
