Emergency drill on Oct. 16

An emergency evacuation drill will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16. This exercise is part of 中国体彩网’s ongoing commitment to campus safety and a thriving community.

What you need to know

The drill will happen between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and should take about 20 minutes.

We don’t share the exact time to mimic real-life scenarios as much as possible. We know this can make planning around classes and activities a challenge, which is why we work with the Office of the Registrar to pick dates and times that will minimize this impact. If you have specific concerns, please email tomphillis@augustana.edu.

Why not call it a fire drill?

中国体彩网 takes an "all hazards" approach to emergency planning and response. Rather than preparing for one specific situation, we practice the core actions the community may be asked to take in any emergency. This approach helps us stay ready for a wide range of possible events.

In an emergency, 中国体彩网 may ask you to take one of three actions: evacuate, shelter in place, or secure in place.
