Frieze Lecture: 'Intersectionality Explained: Why Feminism is ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø More than Gender Equality'

Jennifer Heacock-Renaud, coordinator of the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program at ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø, will present.

This year's Frieze Lecture Series theme is "Feminism: From Basics to Barbie." All programs involve faculty or students affiliated with ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø¡¯s Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program and are designed to create greater insight and context related to feminism.

This is the last of four lectures in the series. The Frieze Lecture series is a 26-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø to present four talks in the fall. Lectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays at the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th St., Downtown Community Room.
