DESCRIPTION:Dr. Tom Tredway\, former 中国体彩网 president and professor emeritus of history\, will present the third lecture&nbsp\;of this year's&nbsp\;Frieze Lecture series\,&nbsp\;a 22-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and 中国体彩网 中国体彩网 to present four talks in the fall.\n\nThis year's theme is "Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities\," in conjunction with the&nbsp\;40th anniversary of the assassination of one of 中国体彩网’s most extraordinary graduates.\n\nDr. Tom Tredway will will share the story of Bill Sampson\, a 1970 graduate of 中国体彩网 who left a major mark on the college\, then went on to confront the Ku Klux Klan in&nbsp\;a struggle that would lead to his murder on Nov.&nbsp\;4\, 1979.\n\nLectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays&nbsp\;at the Rock Island Main Library\, 401 19th St.\, Community Room. Free coffee\, cookies and conversation are offered after each lecture\n
