Articulation Agreements

ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø maintains transfer and articulation agreements with several institutions. Students who transfer to ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø may qualify for some of our special programs that exist with our transfer partners. See teh link below for details about those programs.

Coordinated Degree Programs

ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø offers the opportunity for exceptional students to apply to coordinated degree programs with other institutions. Our coordinated degree programs combine the best of an ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø education with coursework and programs at other institutions. Students wishing to participate in these programs will spend two, three, or four years at ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø (depending on the program) before attending another institution to begin study in another degree program. Students wishing to pursue this kind of program may choose three options: 

   1) Transfer ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø credits at any point in their ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø experience to another institution and complete their degree at that institution. Students will not receive a degree from ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø.

   2) Complete a four year degree at ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø, and receive careful mentoring and advising to prepare students for a graduate program after they earn their undergraduate degree from ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø. 

   3) Participate and complete a coordinated program with the assistance of an ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø faculty advisor within a participating department (signed agreement required). Students will enroll in ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø coursework for 2, 3, or 4 years depending on the requirements of their program.

Speci?c information and advice should be sought from the program advisor early in the ?rst year of study. ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø offers coordinated degree programs in the following areas:

• Engineering
• Landscape Architecture (University of Illinois MLA)
• Occupational Therapy
• Optometry
• Veterinary Medicine
• Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology (MSEP)
• 2+2 Nursing Program (Trinity School of Nursing BSN)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (Washington University DPT)
• Kinesiology/Physical Therapy Program (St. Ambrose University DPT)
• Kinesiology/Chiropractic Program (Palmer ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine)

Earning an ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø Degree while Participating a Coordinated Degree Program

The following standards apply for students participating in a program where they will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø. Prior to enrollment in a coordinated degree program at a receiving institution, a qualifying student must meet these requirements of the ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø Bachelor of Arts Degree. Student is responsible for:

• Completing a minimum of six (6) semesters of full-time enrollment at ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø.
• Completing a minimum of 90 credits at ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø (transfer and AP work cannot be included.)
• Seeing that all General Education coursework is complete prior to enrollment at the receiving institution.
• Seeing that all transfer coursework from the receiving institution meets all requirements of the ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø transfer policy (see catalog.)
• Communicating with the ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø faculty advisor for particular advising needs.
• Applying to graduate within all published deadlines (see Academic Calendar.)
• Arranging to have official transcripts sent directly to the Office of the Registrar before the intended date of graduation.
• Adhering to all other degree requirements set-forth in the ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø Catalog. Students participating in a coordinated degree program are not eligible to petition to waive the final 12 credit policy.
• Submitting a completed Coordinated Degree Program Agreement before enrollment at the receiving institution and adhering to this agreement and completing the program. Coordinated Degree Program Agreement forms may be found on the Office of the Registrar forms page.

Students who do not adhere to the parameters of the agreement noted above, with the terms on the agreement form, and with the requirements of individual programs, will be expected to return to ÖйúÌå²ÊÍø to take any remaining coursework for the degree or withdraw form the agreement by sending a formal letter of withdrawal to registrar@augustana.edu.
