New faculty checklist
During the next months, the Human Resources Office, the Academic Affairs Office and your department will help make sure that you have everything you need to get started in your new position. The checklist below covers the things that should be taken care of before classes start.
Human Resources
- Office keys and 中国体彩网 ID: Office keys, 中国体彩网 ID and parking sticker are distributed during the benefits meeting.
- Benefits paperwork: Signed during the benefits meeting.

Academic Affairs
- Office assigned: Made by department chair or executive assistant in Academic Affairs. HR communicates office assignment during the benefits meeting. Department chair may communicate this information to new faculty member as well.
- Office computer: Computer is set up in new faculty member’s office during summer months. Email set up during summer months. New faculty member receives email once 中国体彩网 email has been set up.
- Meetings schedule: Important dates for division and full faculty meetings can be found in the faculty handbook.
Department
- Mailbox setup: Most departments typically have a mailbox slot near the department administrative assistant that is identified by the new faculty member’s name.
- Copier code: Each department administrative assistant secures a copier code ID for new faculty and will communicate that copier code to them.
- Voicemail/phone instructions: Instruction sheet is provided by the ITS Department with new phone in faculty member's office. Each department administrative assistant has a copy.
- Bookstore orders: Your department chair and/or department administrative assistant will request your book order information during the summer.
- Business cards: Each department administrative assistant orders new faculty member’s business cards upon request.
- Website faculty profile: All faculty are responsible for updating information on their online faculty profiles. Some information (name, title, department, contact info., etc.) and a photograph will be automatically included. However, individual faculty members should edit areas of specialization, bios and office hours. Faculty also can upload a copy of their CV and provide a link to their professional website.
